Gardens aren’t really my thing, but H&M’s soon-to-be released “Garden” collection is definitely something I can wrap my head around, and the result will be much prettier than the potted orchid currently wilting on my dining table. Typical floral prints and pastel hues just never looked so good! Floaty linen and cotton adds a seventies sensibility to the collection, which is crafted from organic and recyclable materials. It’s all so playfully romantic, from rosette-adorned tops to swingy chiffon dresses, with easy-fitting tees and light-wash boyfriend jeans added to the mix. The looks exemplify the essence and simplicity of spring, as breezy silhouettes like these need not much more than a pair of tan leather shoes and a tote to take you through your day. Perhaps best of all, the collection is priced to match my sad post-holiday bank account- the items top out at $60, with most falling in the $15 – $30 range. Check out the slideshow to see my picks!

How to Wear: A Statement Necklace Without Making the Wrong Statement
Statement jewelry has been experiencing an incredible resurgence, but nothing more so than the statement necklace. Celebrities like Eva Mendes and Anne Hathaway have shown how one dazzling piece of jewelry can really make a simple outfit spectacular. And believe it or not, statement necklaces are budget-friendly. They’re bold enough to stand on their own, so you can save some cash on other accessories. Start with an affordable piece like this one from The Limited.

Then, let the necklace do its thing. It’s supposed to make a statement, so dress simply so all the attention is on your necklace. A classic, unfussy sheath dress, leg-lengthening nude pumps and a smart, chic tote paired with your necklace makes the perfect, versatile look you can wear to work and beyond.
